I am currently on a diet called Medifast.
You may have seen their advertisements on facebook. I started this diet because my sister-in-law lost over 100 lbs. doing this and I felt like I needed to get my act together. I am not a representative of Medifast, just someone that started the diet and am learning as I go along. 


Diet Info:

Starting Weight: 252 lbs.

Goal Weight: 140 lbs.

Started on March 4th, 2013

Week 1: 245                      Lost: 7 lbs.
Week 2: 241                      Lost: 4 lbs.
Week 3: 236                      Lost: 5 lbs.
Week 4: 234                      Lost: 2 lbs.
Week 5: 232                      Lost: 2 lbs.
Week 6: 227                      Lost: 5 lbs.
Week 7: 229                      Lost: 0 lbs.  Gained: 2 lbs.
Week 8: 224                      Lost: 5 lbs.

Why am I doing this diet?

Well besides from being overweight. *I hate the word Morbidly Obese. It sounds so depressing, although accurate* I currently am a Type 2 Diabetic with Chronic Hypertension (High blood pressure) I was feeling sick every morning I got up and the lifestyle I grew up with was not a healthy one. I would get these bursts of energy and then crash an hour or two later. I felt like I was out of control and unable to exercise my self-discipline, let alone exercise anything else. I ultimately knew that if I was going to continue on this fast track to death, It would affect my children and family. I realized I wasn't ready to throw the towel in and give up. So I am fighting for my life and my children. One day at a time.
